Stella Vine has her own blog out every Monday on Guardian's website. Yes, it is the same Miss Vine the British artist whose paintings of pop culture personalities Princess Diana, Kate Moss and Pete Doherty is nearly always guaranteed to receive several column inches. Her profile on the site reads,
British artist Stella Vine was born in Alnwick, Northumberland, in 1969. She left school at 13, fell pregnant at 16, and was a stripper before becoming an artist. She rose to prominence after being featured in Charles Saatchi's New Blood exhibition, with her portrait of heroin addict Rachel Whitear attracting widespread media attention.
